    My husband and I stayed at the Bahia Resort for seven nights while visiting our daughter in San Diego. Honestly, we were a little apprehensive about the resort due to some unfavorable comments provided by previous guests. The resort is old and the rooms are a little dated, but they are very clean and maintained well--the bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of fresh towels and spa products every day. We reserved a garden view room and were delighted to learn our room was upgraded to a bay front room upon arrival. The grounds are fabulous with so many unique tropical flowers--while soaking in the huge hot tub, you have a true Caribbean feel. The hotel restaurants were great and reasonably priced. The Mission Bay area is good for biking and walking, with easy access to restaurants, the ocean and night life. We can't wait to come back next year--the only thing we ask for is warmer weather!

    Just came back from a week at the bahia. grounds were beautiful.....parking was plentiful.....pool was great......hot tub and game room were awesome........private beach awesome! bahia belle ...

    Just came back from a week at the Bahia. Grounds were beautiful.....parking was plentiful.....pool was great......hot tub and game room were awesome........private beach awesome! Bahia Belle Boat Ride was fun! Restaurant outdoor buffet on Thursday night was good and well priced. Staff was very gracious and accomodating. ROOM Desparately needed updating and a new sofa. Would not let my kids sit on the stained, dirty sofa. Bathroom sorely needed renovations. View was outstanding though. Seal pool was wonderful. Clean and seals were taken care of well. They were rescued as the sign at the seal pool points out. Overall, I would give hotel 2.5 stars out of 5.

    I was nervous when we pulled in because the rooms seemed a little dated. Well, they were but we are travelling with 3 little kids so I'm not that picky. Our room had a great view of the bay and a seperate bedroom which is nice when you travel with children. The weather wasn't ideal so the kids loved the free arcade. The fitness room was great with lots of treadmills, towels, tv, etc. Nice big hot tub. The only reason I don't give the pool a higher rating is because it was cold. I suppose in nicer weather this wouldn't be as much of an issue. It's a nice big pool with a little wading area for the little ones. The property is very well-kept and close to everything. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

    I was very excited to stay in this hotel from the pictures that I saw but when I got there the room did not meet my expectations. When I went to check in there was a line and I waited a while to actually check in. I had booked and paid the room online and checked out with no incident until a couple days later I noticed on my bank statement that they had charged me again for something I had already paid for. Very unprofessional for an establishment, very dissapointed, would not stay there again.
